Devlog #5 Progress update: June 2025

Hello, and happy Pride Month! 🌈
 

The progress over the past three months was slower due to work and post-move stress, but I finally broke out of writing hell for a bit, so things are looking brighter. I coded about a third of chapter 2 and added a bunch of cool little features, so I hope people like those. 🙏

Writing-wise, chapters 3, 4, and 5 are pretty much finished, and I managed to outline a good chunk of the epilogue, too. The biggest hurdle right now is closing chapter 2 so I can get to programming everything else. (wish me luck orz) It’s more or less clear to me now that my weakest point is getting the descriptions down, so I’ll probably try to keep them to a minimum in the future (at least in the longer games) and mostly stick to dialogue. I’ll push through with MBDSW, but it’s a lesson learned, I guess. 🤔
